Ganesha
by Ashley Slupski
There is a blue elephant juggling galaxies. I met him at a mad jungle carnival where men became cannibals at midnight and women became men the next morning.
He told me, "Time is running out. Not even National Geographics or the Peace Corps can save him now. He's just a cartoon hit man waiting for civilization to run out."
I wiggled out of my gold moon dress and said "No. He just bikes too much. His arms and legs get so thin and muscular but his stomach is always flabby. I hate to see him in the winter. He looks like death."
