Kiara Lanier (aka The Renaissance Woman)
Kiara has been writing poetry since she was in the second grade. Her work has been published in Lane Tech's Literary Magazine, The Centennial; and she has performed her poetry in Young Chicago Authors Louder Than A Bomb poetry slam. Kiara is a jazz vocalist, performing in cafés and most recently The House of Blues. She enjoys soulful music, playing piano, long walks on the beach, and fairly is fond of chimpanzees. Kiara stays strong to all the many roots of her multicultural heritage, and is striving to use her art as activism.
