BY BRITTANY COVINGTON

As I see the smile on your face,
Shining like the sun in the sky,
I wonder what your future will hold.

So young
As if you have just been planted on this Earth!
So sweet
Like cake with an extra pile of icing on top.
You were the pupil in my eye!

You didn’t know what was coming your way.
I speak about you all the time!
I wonder about what you
Would’ve been!

Yes!
Your body has left the Earth,
Like summer coming to fall.
But your soul remains
Inside of me.

You are my brother and I do love you.
